People are still here?

Or is it just Sean and Ricky?

Apparently I am horrible at these things. I havent done anything in months. Nothing exciting going on here. Christy had her baby, so work is busier. Looking forward to a few days off at Christmas. I am surprised that Ricky hasn't posted anything about the snow storm in loosiany yet...

Speaking of has-beens...

I got a call...out of the blue from Keith B*ck*r the other day...
He 'pretended' to have a job related question...but...I'm pretty sure he just called to gloat about his #1 seeding in our Fantasy Football Playoffs....

We sent out our RFQ for our Parish MasterPlan...It's about to get pretty busy round here...

Continued effort of Blog revival....

Hmm...Davey Jones looked bigger on the screen.
Here's what's happened over the past month or so (that I know about)...

Ross is a dad (again). Melissa gave birth to Brett a few weeks back.

17 more joined the former MSCW ranks.

Christy is due in a couple of weeks.

I saw Laura yesterday. She is doing well.

The Phillies won the World Series!

I took Ryan to see the Blue Angels. He LOVED it. I was no longer 'Dad', but 'Dude', a la "Dude, over there!!!"

Dead...or Forgotten...

Is a blog with no readers...or posters really a blog?

Sorta why I have been slacking off lately...

If a blog falls in the forest...and no one is there to read it...

Seriously...is this place dead?

Congratulations!

Not to steal any thunder, but John and Shannon had their child this morning. Baby Jack was born 9:34 a.m. He's 7 lb, 6 oz and 19.5" long. Mom, Dad and baby are reportedly doing great. Sorry, I don't have any pictures of Jack, but....

Not looking good, but...

...if memory serves, Gustav's projected track looks similar (not exact) to what the experts said of Fay's projected track before this happened...

I'm not saying that anyone in LA should cancel their flood insurance policy, I'm just saying there is a chance that those same experts could mess this one up, too.

In the interesting-but-useless facts column...I looked up the names Katrina and Gustav. Katrina is Greek for 'pure'. Gustav is Norse for 'God's staff'. Good luck with this one.

Not funny.

Well, the summer has wrapped up and we're exhausted. The list of activities this year included...Yellowstone and Grand Teton, Philadelphia, Black Mountain NC, soccer camp, spanish camp, reptile and lizard camp, changing jobs and culminating with sending Heather off to Mexico for a week on a mission trip. I'm now officially Mr. Mom. Bonbon, anyone?

I found this little gem on Youtube. Hopefully it works. If so, I'm a genius. If not, blame Ricky. He gave me instructions.

Crane's Roost is inundated. Evidently, it's landlocked with only a pump as its outfall...and the City was ordered to shut the pump off. We used to have a nice little walking trail around the lake with a couple of pedestrian bridges. I say 'used to' because it's all about 4 feet under water. It's strange to look out the office window and see only the tent tops over the walk. I'm not complaining...I could be living in Debary or Deland. At least the tropics are quiet these days....

Fay has come and gone...

So our family went on a little vacation to the Florida Keys for a a few days. Turns out there was this storm coming straight for us... We spent the day Saturday enjoying some awesome snorkeling and diving on a reef about 20 miles off shore. That evening we decided to go into Key West and have some adult fun. The next day was spent on the road along with the rest of the tourist population in mass exodus out of the keys. A drive that normally takes about 3.5 hours took roughly 5 hours. Anyways we roughed out the storm at home in Naples. The storm made landfall in Marco Island which is about 10 minutes away from our house. The next day power was out for about 8 to 10 hours.

Here is a picture of the aftermath on 5th Avenue in downtown Naples. Thats my office there in the background.

Much Needed PTO

So, since I for one am sick of seeing Ricky's next tat on top of the blog... This is where I will be starting tomorrow. Yes, it's 11:09 and I am still at work, but tomorrow all of that changes.

Spending some quality time with the family, aunt and grandmother went up on Sunday, my sister, brother-in-law and nephew (see http://babyryanlong.blogspot.com/) went up today, and me and the 'rents are heading up tomorrow morning.

Hope it's worth it and the trip gets me out of the stress I am feeling now.

More Tats

Thanks for setting up this blog.
We have been getting crazy with tattoos and working up to body piercing next....hopefully, my pain threshold can with stand it. The big plan is to be on an episode of Miami Ink.
Just think- You can say you knew us when....

New Tattoo?

Seriously....I mean...Look how much worse it could have been...

Going north

No, the picture is not from Ricky's "Muppets" collection. Ryan and I are heading to Philadelphia on Friday for a four day weekend to visit family and catch a ball game. It will be a great time...Liberty Bell...Independence Hall...Phillies...soft pretzels...cheese steak sandwiches...the museum with those "Rocky" steps.
Well, that's all I've got for now. I've got to go practice 'booing' in case I run into Santa Claus....

Some Artsy-Fartsy Baby Pics

Not much new to report from down here. Baby cries , sleeps, and poops like crazy... While I had some time off I got creative and decided to do some nice black and white photos of the baby. Here are a couple of them.

Dangling Carrots...

I think that could be a funny name for an a porno....Not that I would know anything about those sorts of things...

It's a posting frenzy here in the Has Been blog...

Hopefully we'll get some more action in these parts...
Sorry to hear about your 'issues' James...but...I mean...did everyone hear...that I have a Sun burn?  Get well soon lunger....(See...now THAT'S a movie quote....none of this Marla Hooch or Baby in the corner nonsense)

Going to the bank on Thursday...hopefully we'll get some pre-approval...and hopefully...when we submit our lowball offer on the house we like...the bank will take it...and we can steal this house...

Our Orlando house has renters in it now...Hopefully...they'll fall in love with the school and the neighborhood and buy our house...Although...I guess if we can afford to keep it...it could be good for us financially....over the long run...

Anyways....it now appears as though I'm a multiple blogger...and I need to go type something on my little hunk of world wide web realestate...It's day 100 you know...

What Does Ricky Know?

Wow, word travels fast among our former co-workers. I get the feeling that some of you know more about what is going on in the office than I do *cough* Ricky *cough*.

I have notes in my outlook to get back to everyone, but if you're checking and haven't heard back from me on how to post, you may have provided me an email address that wasn't a gmail account. I was going to compile a list and send out to you all, but haven't gotten to it yet.

Nothing too exciting going on here. Had a big BBQ with the family for the 4th. I mentioned the new nephew in my first post. I am adding a sun room to my house and 3 months in, the tile finally went down and it's starting to take shape (I get paid by the hour for home improvement jobs apparently).

Alright, nothing really to report, I just logged in and saw Sean's post and thought I would add something to keep this thing alive.

By the way, if you haven't heard, James has been in the hospital since Thursday, he and I spent some quality texting moments together today, and he thought he was going to be able to go home. Apparently he had sudden lung collapse on one of his lungs. Others are probably way more qualified to explain (maybe he will get on here and let us know), but he is doing fine. Was in some pain from what I understand as he had to have a tube placed between his ribs to release the extra gasses in his abdomen. Anyway, hopefully he will give us an update, but as of 4:30ish, he was feeling OK and ready to go home.

I leave you with a picture of Italy last summer when I could consider purchasing a few Euros and a flight. Now, I am taking collections for gas money if anyone wants to contribute.

I'm on-line

Old dog...new tricks. Incredible.

Here's a picture of the Grand Tetons, where we went on our summer vacation. Yes, that is snow. Yes, it was June. Yes, it was cold.
Thanks for setting this up, Adam!
Nothing much to report...no pistol whipping, renovations or new kids.
Had lunch with Little Rob and Clay. They're doing well.

Isabella

Hi all! So now that I am a new dad I have the responsibility to take as many pictures as I posiblity can. SO here is a new one . We are also trying to make sure the dogs are well behaved around the baby. Anyway I will have more for you all soon.

Intro

So, since we have lost a ton of people, and people are moving away, Enrique in a round about way made a suggestion that we have a place for everyone to write in when something exciting happens instead of having Ricky spread the word through his blog.

So, if you're interested in writing, send me an email and I will get you on the list.

As for me, nothing too exciting. I have a new nephew that has his own blog. Otherwise, same as always.
